PEACE ONE DAY is the story of one man’s attempts to persuade the global community via the United Nations to officially sanction a global day of peace. The UN International Day of Peace is now fixed in the calendar on 21st September annually.
I have created a webpage of resources to help schools celebrate the day. These include ideas for assemblies, wall displays, activites for a normal classroom and using ICT.

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have founded many schools throughout the world. At a recent conference held in the USA in July many educators came together and made commitments to continue to carry out the mission of our Notre Dame Schools. At the present time we are calling on all Notre Dame Schools to support the World Peace Day on September 21, 2006. There will be many different activities that schools can get involved in.
